9 people have been arrested and a number of weapons seized, after a shot was fired in Mahon, in Cork yesterday evening.
It happened in the Ravensdale Close area at around 5:15pm but no one was injured.
Gardai carried out follow up searches at two homes and 3 cars were searched.
A number of weapons were found and 4 men, 4 women and a teenage boy were arrested.
A woman and the teenager have been released without charge while the 4 men and a woman are continuing to be held at stations in Cork.
Two women are due in court later this morning.
