A man in his 30s has died following a crash in Kells in Meath.
The car he was driving collided with the back of a truck that was parked on the R147 in Carnaross shortly before half nine last night.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to the mortuary at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem is expected to take place.
The R147 road is currently closed between Kells and Virginia and Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
