35-year-old Amy McCauley pleaded guilty to the use of false death and medical certs this week.
A Wexford woman, accused of faking her own death, will be sentenced in October.
35-year-old Amy McCauley of Connagh, Fethard on Sea, Wexford, pleaded guilty to the use of false death and medical certs earlier this week.
Amy McCauley was sent for trial in 2019 following her arrest after she received a loan from KBC Bank for 10 thousand euro by using someone else’s name and fake documents, and then tried to get another loan for 5 thousand euro from the same bank, in a similar way.
Gardaí later received two death certs in her name, and, believing she had died, her trial didn’t proceed.
The State then heard the accused was still alive, and she was sent forward for trial again.
In court on Wednesday, Ms McCauley pleaded guilty to a number of charges, including charges of theft and the use of false medical and death certs.
She was due to be sentenced today, but that has now been put back to October 14th to allow for the preparation of a probation report.
The mother of two, who now lives in Dublin, must sign on at Blanchardstown Garda station every Monday and Friday until then.
