Almost 200 Children On Waiting Lists For Life-Changing Spine Surgery At 3 Hospitals.

116 of those are waiting for procedures in Crumlin children's hospital.

172 children are waiting for life-changing back surgery in three Dublin hospitals.

They're looking for a scoliosis procedure, to address a curved spine.

Eoghan Murphy reports:

The children are on the waiting lists in Crumlin, Temple Street and Cappagh hospitals.

116 of those are waiting for procedures in Crumlin children's hospital.

Claire Cahill, from the Scoliosis Advocacy Network, says her 12-year-old son is waiting for surgery.

So far this year, 266 scoliosis-related surgeries have been carried out on children in the three hospitals this year, according to Children's Health Ireland.
