Close to 1 in 5 students do not know now how they will make ends meet. A recent survey by Mobile Bank N26, has found that just under one third of Irish students are worried about their financial situation. Some 36 percent of students say they keep a close eye on their finances and know their monthly budget. 25 percent use their savings to pay for utility bills while at university. Despite living at home last year as a result of the pandemic, 25 percent of students still paid rent. Over half of Irish students describe their attitude towards money management and savings as ‘cautious.'
