A woman is believed to be in a critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash in Carlow.
The collision, involving a lorry and two cars, happened at Bang-Up Cross in Tullow at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon.
A driver of one of the cars, a woman in her fifties, was brought to St Luke's General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, which are now believed to be critical.
The truck driver, a man in his twenties, and the driver of the other car, a woman in her fourties, were taken to hospital for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The road remains closed this morning for a technical exam, and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
