Elsewhere RACO survey finds two thirds of former members left due to pay & conditions
A survey by the Representative Association of Commissioned Officers notes there are more "push factors than pull factors" for Defence Force members.

It's noted there are "far more push factors" for members seeking alternative employment, than reasons to stay.
Commandant Conor King noted that "more retention, more value" needed to be placed in service.

Elsewhere, according to a Kildare TD, some members of the Defence Forces can receive just one week's notice for an overseas deployment.
The news comes as the survey shows nearly one in three officers, who quit the force in recent years, said they would not recommend a military career.
The survey also notes two thirds say they left for better pay and conditions in the private sector.
