High rents and the increasing cost of living in Dublin is making it one of the most expensive cities in the world to live.
Dublin is the 7th most expensive, or least financially viable city to live in according to a study of 56 cities worldwide by British insurance group CIA Landlord.
Despite average salaries of 3-thousand euro a month, it showed people in Dublin after still ending up in debt when all their bills are paid.
A housing charity says increasing rents and the high cost of living in Dublin is forcing people into arrears.
The study found when average monthly rental prices for 3-bed apartments and the cost of living like transport, utility bills and childcare are deducted from average salaries people in Dublin are being left with a shortfall of 785 euro each month.
