This incident occured around 8pm at Browne's Steakhouse on the Main Street in Blanchardstown on Sunday.
A man in his 20s, who is believed to be the gunman, was killed while a second man in his 40s remains in serious condition afer recieving gunshot wounds.
The post-mortem will be carried out by the State Pathologist at the City Morgue today.
There had been an increased Garda presence in the Dublin region yesterday following the attack.
Gardai are also appelaing to anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
