James Geoghegan is leading the polls with just over a week to go to the Dublin Bay South by-election.
According to an Ipsos-MRBI poll for the Irish Times the Fine Gael candidate holds 27 percent of the decided first preference votes.

Labour’s Ivana Bacik polled at 22 percent, Sinn Fein's Lynn Boylan is at 13 percent.
While Claire Byrne from the Greens and Fianna Fáil’s Deirdre Conroy account for 11 and 10 percent respectively.
