As reports show an increase in homeless figures to over 14,300 people

The Government is under pressure to provide some new social housing for long-term homeless families.

Focus Ireland is reacting to the latest increase of 13 per cent in homelessness to over 14,300 people.

It says social homes were provided during the pandemic which led to a sharp fall in figures.

Focus Ireland spokesperson Roughan Mac Namara says families need help.
