IMF Recommends Lifting Rent Caps in Ireland to Boost Housing Supply

That's according to the International Monetary Fund.

Ireland should remove rent caps in the housing market to improve supply and demand.

That's according to the International Monetary Fund, which has given the Irish economy a clean bill of health today.

The IMF says rent caps don't help with the current housing situation, and the Government should focus on increasing housing supply, which would in turn improve productivity in the construction sector.
