Around 56,000 jobs could be lost across rural Ireland because of the Government’s new greenhouse emission targets.
That’s according to an analysis by KPMG for the Farmers Journal.
It says if emissions were cut by 30 per cent over ten years it could result in a 4 billion euro loss in economic output.
