Slight drop of 1,200
The number of people on the Live Register decreased slightly in July 2022, compared to June.
Adjusted for the summer season, CSO figures reveal 183,300 people were recorded, a decline of 1,200 month to month.
The South of the country saw the largest increase - with just over 4,000 additional people counted.
The number of people arriving from Ukraine to Ireland - on the Live Register - increased almost 2,800, to a total of over 9,900.
Ukrainian refugees are entitled to claim a range of supports from the Department of Social Protection under an EU protection directive.
The majority of adults' applications for income supports are being processed as Jobseeker's allowance at first, until the most appropriate support is identified.
As soon as an individual is on Jobseeker's Allowance for 50 days, they are added to the Live Register.
This means Ukrainians who are being counted on the list today have been here approximately six weeks.
Three quarters of people on the Live Register are Irish.
Near 50% are in the 25-34, or the 35-44 age-groups.
The seasonally adjusted Live Register total for July 2022 was 183,300, down 1,200 or 0.7% from June 2022https://t.co/C0p6i6nAgT #CSOIreland #Ireland #LabourForceSurvey #LabourForce #Households #IrishHouseholds #LabourMarket #LiveRegister #Jobs #Employment #Unemployment pic.twitter.com/WzoRdW4Fp5
