An Oireachtas Committee is expecting legal advice this week on whether it can compel further documents from RTÉ
Last week, RTÉ declined to release a full copy of former director general Dee Forbes' contract, along with details of exit packages provided to other executives within the broadcaster, citing that relevant information has already been provided.
The Public Accounts Committee is seeking details of the exit packages of a number of people.
RTÉ has said it's legally precluded from handing over such information, saying that it would be “inappropriate” to ask staff permission to release their names alongside their salaries.
But vice-chair of the Public Accounts Committee, Catherine Murphy, thinks the information is important:
