One In Every Five People With A Medical Card Has Been Prescribed Anti-Depressants.

That's over 300,000 people.

One in every five medical card patients are on anti-depressant medication.

According to freedom of information figures, almost 317,000 patients got the drugs under the scheme last year.

According to freedom of information figures, that includes almost 72,000 in Dublin and nearly 36,000 in Cork.
