Over 120 members of the Defence Forces will today take part in the 1916 Easter Rising Commemorations.

Representatives of the Army, Air Corps and Naval Service will all take part.

Captain Paul Murphy will read the 1916 Proclamation as the Tricolour is lowered at Dublin's GPO - and President Michael D. Higgins will then lay a wreath to commemorate those who died.

Defence Forces Captain Kevin Kenny says its a tremendous honour to take part:
