Ireland on course to have one of highest Covid-19 vaccination uptake among young people
Ireland is on course to have one of the highest take up of Covid-19 vaccines among young people, according to a leading immunologist.
Over 30,000 people received a jab at walk in vaccination centres over the weekend.
The HSE says this outstripped their expectations and they may extend them.
Over 30,000 people were administered a vaccination at our walk in centres the weekend. Outstripping our expectations by far. All age groups went through but this initiative makes us beyond proud of younger people. When needed, they once again showed up in numbers. @HSELive

Figures have increased 25% compared to last Tuesday.
According to the HSE 25 people with the virus are in intensive care units.
