That’s according to research by the National Women’s Council, which is calling for safe access zones to be introduced by law.
They say the zones would allow patients to attend their appointment without facing an anti-abortion protest.
Alana Ryan of the National Women’s Council says more needs to be done to support medics who wish to provide abortion care:
