RTE Redundancy Packages Will Be Capped At €300,000

Staff were informed today

RTE redundancy packages will be capped at €300,000.

Staff at the broadcaster were informed today, what is labelled a Voluntary Exit Programme, will open after the Easter Weekend.

That's provided all necessary materials are finalised.

It will be available to those aged under 55, and early retirement will be open to those over 55.

Members of the Leadership Team will not be able to apply.

The updated plans were provided in a note to staff from RTE's Director of HR, Eimear Cusack.
