Eamon Butterly has been giving evidence for a seventh day at the inquests
The former manager of the Stardust nightclub says he stands over claims the fire was started maliciously.
Eamon Butterly has been giving evidence for a seventh day at the inquests of 48 young people who lost their lives in the blaze.
The inquests heard the Stardust nightclub made a claim soon after the Stardust fire for malicious damage.
Former manager Eamon Butterly said he didn't know the value of that claim and whether it was thousands of pounds.
The inquests heard he stands over the malicious claim being made by their insurers and said the Keane Tribunal said it was 'probably arson'.
He agreed there was a large financial interest in the nightclub proving the damage was caused maliciously.
It was then put to him that there were electrical issues in the Stardust nightclub after he said it was one of the best wired premises in the area.
It was also put to Mr Butterly that one insurer wouldn't insure the premises - saying the chance of a fire was horrendous.
He said it was the first he heard of that.
