A senior lecturer in housing says hundreds of thousands of renters could end up calling on the state for help in their later years.
It's after a new survey from Aviva found over 780,000 people are worried they'll be paying rent or a mortgage into retirement.
Almost a third say they have no idea how they'll pay those bills.
