Green Party TD Neasa Hourigan says spending on homes is the right decision:
Increasing housing through infrastructure spending is being introduced in the budget.
The Green Party says a creaking water system could also benefit from investment in the 3 billion euro boost.
It also wants the money used to protect against flooding by having a 25 year national flood plan to benefit housing and the farming sector.
