The 22-year-old Irish Israeli woman was confirmed dead on Wednesday
After having been missing since Hamas militants launched a series of attacks in Israel at the weekend, Ms Damti has been confirmed dead.
She and many other young people had been missing since the attack at the Re'im festival in the south of the country, near the Gaza border.
President Michael D Higgins has been among the many people paying tributes to the young woman on Wednesday.
1,300 Palestinians have now been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
They were in response to Hamas killing 1,300 Israelis at the weekend.
Israel claims there has been no decision made on a possible ground invasion on Gaza.
