The family of the man who lost an eye in a knife attack in Belfast on Monday say violence and disorder is "not welcome".
30 year-old Sudanese refugee Hadi Alodid's been remanded in custody, charged with the attempted murder of Stephen Ogilvie.
Disorder broke out in the city last night - with adults and children fleeing as homes and vehicles were set on fire.
Three people have been arrested as a result - one of those has been charged with riot, attempted criminal damage and assault on a police designated person.
