A woman in her 40s has been charged with murdering her elderly mother in Dublin city earlier this week.
45 year old Moire Bergin with an address at First Avenue, off Seville Place in the north inner city appeared before Dublin District Court this morning.
She was remanded in custody with a request for "urgent" psychiatric attention.
Her mother, Mary Bergin, who was in her 70s, was found dead at her house at First Avenue on Tuesday morning.
Moire Bergin was granted legal aid and is due to appear again in court next Thursday.
