Ireland have received a boost ahead of Sunday's Women's Rugby World Cup quarter-final with France, with Aoife Wafer deemed fit enough to start.

The Six Nations Player of the Tournament will start in the backrow to make her first appearance after knee surgery earlier this year.

Fiona Tuite also returns to the team, while Stacey Flood has recovered from a foot problem to line out at full-back.

Co-captain Edel McMahon misses out through injury and isn't including in the matchday squad.
