Ballygunner Claim Fifth Munster Club Hurling Title

They have become the first club to win three consecutive Munster senior titles

Ballygunner claimed a fifth Munster club hurling title yesterday.

The Waterford men claimed the honours for a third year in a row after a 2-24 to 17 points defeat of Clonlara of Clare.

Antrim kingpins Cushendall are the Ulster champions after a 20 points to 2-10 win over Derry's Slaughtneil.

In football, St Brigid's of Roscommon beat Galway's Corofin by 1-13 to 2-5 to win the Connacht title at Dr Hyde Park.
