Castledermot's Neasa Dooley looks set to swap Gaelic Football for Aussie Rules.
The Athy club-woman is to sign for AFLW side Brisbane Lions as a rookie for the 2025 season.
Dooley has been a key figure for the Kildare Senior Ladies football team over the last number of years and only this year, her penalty against Laois helped Kildare to victory and avoid relegation.
Dooley was first spotted by Lions senior coach Craig Starcevich on a trip to Ireland last off season to scout talent.
He noted her willingness to take games on and break lines, a trait greatly valued at the Lions and it's likely she will slot into their forward line next season.
