FAI CEO David Courell tells Oireachtas Committee this afternoon that they meant 'no disrespect' in seeking to defer their appearance.
Before their U-Turn yesterday Irish football's governing body said they wouldn't be able to attend, citing concerns that it could influence a garda investigation into alleged mistreatment of female footballers by male coaches.
Courell said "Nobody should ever feel unsafe in Irish football." in his opening statement and the FAI representatives are currently answering members questions.
