O’Connor set for third spell in charge of the Kingdom.
Jack O'Connor looks set for a quick return to inter-county management.
The former Kildare boss stepped down from his role with the Lilywhites earlier this month.
He is now to become the new Kerry senior football manager, with Diarmuid Murphy and Micheál Quirke as selectors.
It will be O’Connor’s third spell in charge of the Kingdom.
The management team will be proposed for ratification at Kerry’s next county committee meeting on Monday 4 October.
O'Connor led Kildare to Division 1 this year and a Leinster final appearance, but stood down citing travel commitments.
