Ireland Relay Women in Euro Final; Leixlip Canoeist Jenny Egan In Action Later; Club Football Championships, Soccer.......... Weekend Preview Programme this evening, 6.30pm

 

The Irish women's 4x400-metre relay team has qualified for tomorrow's final at the European Championships in Munich.

Sophie Becker, Phil Healy, Rhasidat Adeleke and Sharlene Mawdsley ran an national record time of 3.26.06 in finishing second in their heat.

Louise Shanahan advanced to the 800-metres final by placing third in her semi-final.

Leixlip’s Salmon Leap Club’s Jenny Egan has her women's kayak semi-final this afternoon.

Ciara Mageean and Mark English will both be in action on the track tonight in the 1500-metres final and 800-metres semi-final respectively.

The county club football championships reach the final Group Stage games over the weekend.

There are 4 games in the Tom Cross Transport JFC tonight.

 In Group 1 in Manguard Plus Hawkfield on Pitch 2 at 7.30, Ballykelly play Kill, while on Pitch 1 at 8, it’s Grangenolvin v Robertstown.

 At 8pm in Raheens, Rathcoffey play Straffan.

In Group 2 at 7.30 in St Laurence’s, Athgarvan play Rheban.

 Last night Castlemitchell defeated Kildangan 2-11 to 0-6.

Tomorrow, from 12 noon to 7pm, Kfm will have live updates from all the senior and intermediate games and score updates of the Junior games, in association with Pat Keogh Skoda, the Midlands No. 1 Skoda Dealer since 1996.

Gibbs-White is reunited with manager Steve Cooper, who he played for as England won the under-17 World Cup in 2017.
