Kildare Ladies All Ireland Champions; UPMC Hurling Results; Caicedo Signs for Chelsea; KDFL Senior Cup semi finalists; Ntamack our of World Cup; Kildare Scoreboard 6.30pm reviews weekend Kildare Sport

Kildare are All Ireland Intermediate Ladies football champions for the second time in 7 years.

Yesterday, despite leading comfortably by 7 points going into the final minutes, they conceded two late Clare goals which brought the Banner to within one point of levelling.

Clare then got a 50 meter free with the hooter sounding time up.  The free was on target all the way but dropped short into the square to give Kildare the win by a single point 2-11 to 2-10

The win means that Kildare are unbeaten under manager Diane O Hora and have done the treble this year of League, Leinster and All Ireland titles.

Kfm brought you full commentary with Ger McNally, Tara Byrne and Kildare’s previous 2017 All Ireland winning captain Aisling Holton, in association with Dowlings Bar, Ballyshannon – proud sponsors of Kildare Ladies football

Speculation will turn to whether manager Diane O Hora will be with the team next season in the Senior grade.

Mayo have a vacancy for the senior manager position and the Mayo native and former All Star will be a strong favourite for that position

This evening’s Kildare Scoreboard from 6.30 will review the game, including interviews with Diane O Hora, Grace Clifford, including her winning captains speech in full, player of the match Roisin Byrne, Grainne Kenneally and Clare manager – Monasterevin’s Wayne Freeman.
