Manager Stephen Kenny is still searching for his first competitive win.

Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny believes his charges are progressing.

They face Serbia tonight in their latest World Cup qualifier.

Ireland earned their first point in Group A on Saturday after a draw with Azerbaijan.

This evening's game is underway from 7.45 at the Aviva Stadium.

Portugal can move into sole possession of top spot for a couple of hours at least if they avoid defeat to Azerbaijan.

That game has a 5pm kick-off in Baku.

Elsewhere, Steve Clarke's Scotland take on Austria in Group F from a quarter-to-eight.
