Final score at the National basketball Arena was Killester 90-62 Celtics.
Pyrobel Killester are the MissQuote.ie Super League champions.
They defeated Leixlip's FloMAX Liffey Celtics 90-62 in the Playoff Final at the National Basketball Arena last night, to claim their first women’s Super League title since the 1979/80 season
The sides were forced into a one-off playoff, after both finished with equal 17-3 records at the end of the regular season.
FloMAX Liffey Celtics head coach, Karl Kilbride was quick to acknowledge the superb performance of the newly-crowned champions, saying “Big credit to Killester, they did a really good job in taking us out of our rhythm on offence and, offensively, they were excellent.
“I don’t think we matched they intensity enough early on and we probably didn’t perform to the level we hoped we would. They deserved the win” he said.
