Luke Donald's team are hoping to win the trophy on American soil for the first time since 'the miracle of Medinah' in 2012.
Europe have won 8 of the last 11 events, and Offaly man Lowry was part of the victorious team in Rome two years ago.
This week's Ryder Cup is scheduled to begin Friday, September 26th at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.
