A man aged in his thirties was arrested yesterday in connection with the alleged bribery of a League of Ireland player.
The man was arrested and questioned by detectives from the garda anti-bribery and corruption unit.
He was subsequently released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
