Mona McSharry has claimed a gold medal in the 50-metre breaststroke at the World Aquatics World Cup.

Ellen Walshe also secured gold and silver medals at the Illinois leg of the World Cup at the weekend.
McSharry and Walshe will both return for the third and final stop of the World Cup from 23-25 October in Toronto, Canada.
They will be joined by six other Irish swimmers,
