Christian Eriksen signs for Brentford.

GAA

Kildare got their Allianz National Football League Division 1 campaign off to a positive start, with a hard-earned 0-13 to 1-10 draw with Kerry in St Conleth's Park yesterday.

The Lilywhites trailed for a large part of the game, but continued to battle hard, and a Jimmy Hyland free deep into injury time was the all-important equalising score.

Next up for Kildare is an away trip to Donegal on Sunday.

Naas CBS will play Maynooth SLS in an all Kildare Leinster Colleges Senior Football A final.

They recorded an impressive 6-06 to 11 points win over Colaiste Choilm Tullamore in Edenderry on Saturday.

The win came courtesy of a strong second half performance and four goals from Niall Dolan.

SOCCER

New Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen says he can't wait to get started at his new club.

The Danish talisman is back in the Premier League following his collapse at Euro 2020.

The 29 year previously played at Tottenham and left Inter Milan last month due to rules around playing with a heart monitor.

Meanwhile Burnley have announced the signing of Dutch striker Wout Weghorst

The 6"6 forward joins from Wolfburg on the 3 and a half year deal.

He replaces Chris Wood who left Turf Moor earlier in the window to join Newcastle.

Championship side Bournemouth haved signed Liverpool defender Nat Philips on loan until the end of the season

And Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has arrived in Barcelona ahead of a potential move to the Catalan club.
