Gaelic Games

Yesterday Kildare ladies lost to Westmeath in TG4 All-Ireland IFC Semi-Final.

It finished Westmeath 3-6 Kildare 1-9.

Here's manager Daniel Moynihan take on the game:

Elsewhere, Kerry and Tyrone's All-Ireland football semi-final has been postponed for a second time.

They will now meet on Saturday the 28th of August, to allow Tyrone's large outbreak of Covid-19 in their squad to come under control.

The Red Hand County had previously stated they would be unable to field a team if needed to by next weekend.

The All-Ireland final will now take place on Saturday the 11th of September.

Dublin will face neighbours Meath in the Ladies football final next month.

Meath booked a senior decider less than 12 months on from their Intermediate success, following yesterday's dramatic 2-12 to 2-10 win against Cork at Croke Park.

They came from seven points down with just five minutes remaining to force extra time, before edging out last year's beaten finalists.

The Royals will face five-in-a-row chasing Dublin in an all-Leinster decider on 5 September.

Soccer

Son Heung-min scored the winner as Tottenham shocked Premier League champions Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season.

Spurs were without Harry Kane as they secured a 1-nil win against the team who want to sign the England captain.

Here at home, champions Shamrock Rovers are three points clear at the top of the table.

Golf

American Kevin Kisner held his nerve in a six-man playoff last night to take the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour.

The world number 52 birdied the second playoff hole to collect his first win in two years, edging out Kim Si-Woo, Adam Scott, Roger Sloan, Branden Grace and Kevin Na, who were deadlocked on 15-under par.

Ireland’s Séamus Power finished on three-under for the tournament after carding a two-under 68 in the final round.

Tennis

Roger Federer has said his decision to have further knee surgery gives him a "glimmer of hope" of returning to action.

The 40-year-old has withdrawn from the US Open, which begins later this month, and says he'll be out for "many months" to recover from a third operation on his right knee.

Racing

There's a seven race card at Roscommon later on where the first goes to post at a-quarter-to-5.
