Keeping you up to date on soccer and racing.

SOCCER

Arsenal are counting the cost after moving four points clear at the top of the Premier League table yesterday.

The Gunners defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 at the Emirates on a weekend where all their major rivals suffered losses.

Declan Rice and William Saliba both left yesterday's game early due to injuries.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says they will both be assessed by the medical team while Gabriel Martinelli and Ricardo Calafiori also picked up knocks.

Bournemouth are up to 2nd after a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in Sean Dyche's first league game in charge.

Celtic now trail Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts by eight points after losing 3-1 to them at Tynecastle.

It's a second league defeat in the champions' opening nine top-flight games.

Manager Brendan Rodgers says there's still a long way to go in the season despite falling behind at this early stage.

RACING

There's racing at Galway and Wexford on this Bank Holiday afternoon.

The first of the 8 racecard in Ballybrit goes to post at 12:35pm.

It's a 7 racecard in Bettyville with the first off there from just after quarter past 1.
