Laois beat Wexford by 2-17 to 2-13.

The Munster and Connacht senior football quarter finals also took place yesterday.

Roscommon beat Mayo by 2-08 to 0-10.

In Thurles, it finished Tipperary 3-9, Waterford 1-11.

Clare came out on top against Cork by 0-14 to 0-13 at Cusack Park.

The Kildare U16 ladies footballers beat Meath by 2-23 to 4-5 yesterday in Round 3 of the Leinster Championship.

Kildare advance through to play Dublin in the U16 A championship final on May 6th.

Arsenal missed the chance to go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League after letting a 2-nil lead slip to draw 2-all at Liverpool.

Crystal Palace beat fellow strugglers Leeds 5-1 as they moved six points clear of the relegation zone.

The dates, venues and kick off times for the Heineken Champions Cup semi-finals have been confirmed.

Leinster will playSunday Sport, with Joe Mallon Motors, Sallins Rd., Naas Toulouse at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday April 29th, with a 3pm start.

Ronan O' Gara's La Rochelle will play Exeter Chiefs in Bordeaux on Sunday the 30th  from 4pm.
