Old Firm derby takes place this afternoon.

RUGBY

Leinster captain Johnny Sexton will undergo a scan to determine the extent of a facial injury he picked up in last night's win over Connacht.

Leo Cullen's side won the U-R-C derby by 41 points to 12 at the RDS - but Sexton was replaced in the second half.

It's understood the injury is in the cheekbone area.

Sexton's fitness will be a concern ahead of Ireland's Six Nations campaign, which begins in just over a month's time.

SOCCER

Celtic can take a big step towards retaining the Scottish Premiership title this afternoon.

The league leaders take on Rangers in the Old Firm at Ibrox.

A win for the visitors will see them move 12 points clear at the summit.

Kick off is at half-12.

There's one game on in the Premier League tonight with Liverpool travelling to Brentford.

Kick off at the G-tech Community Stadium in London is set for 5:30pm.

New signing Cody Gakpo could feature for the Reds but Brentford's Ivan Toney's a doubt.

A wake expected to last 24-hours will be held at the stadium of Pele's former club Santos from this afternoon.

The coffin of the Brazil legend, who died last week aged 82, will be placed in the centre circle.

The three-time World Cup winner is regarded by many as the greatest to ever play football.

DARTS

Both of the semi-finals at the PDC World Darts Championship take place tonight.

Germany's Gabriel Clemens will play world number four Michael Smith of England in the first match on stage.

That'll be followed by the meeting of three-time champion Michael van Gerwen and Dimitri van den Bergh.

The final will be held tomorrow evening at Alexandra Palace.

GAELIC GAMES

Kevin McStay's reign as Mayo senior football manager gets underway later today.

Sligo provide the opposition for a charity challenge match in Ballina from 1pm.
