The Roscommon fighter has beaten Sunniva Hofstad in their 75kg quarter-final.

Aoife O'Rourke has secured at least a bronze medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.

The Roscommon fighter has beaten Sunniva Hofstad in their 75kg quarter-final on a split decision.

Patsy Joyce will look to book a spot in the 55kg semis when he goes up against Uzbek veteran Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov later this afternoon.

And Offaly's Grainne Walsh will fight Paris Olympics silver medallist Yang Liu of China in the 65kg quarter-finals this evening.
