Sabalenka Wins After Unusual US Open Interruption Related To Cannabis

The interruption did little to derail the top seed, who went on to secure a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 victory and progress to the next round.

World Number one Aryna Sabalenka was briefly distracted by the smell of cannabis during her latest US Open victory in New York.

Sabalenka stopped play to raise the issue with the chair umpire during her third-round meeting with Kamilla Rakhimova at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

The interruption did little to derail the top seed, who went on to secure a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 victory and progress to the next round.
