The win moves the Waterford man up to 113th in the world ranking
Seamus Power has claimed his first PGA Tour title.
The Waterford golfer beat J.T. Poston on the sixth play-off hole to win the Barbasol Championship in Kentucky after both players finished up on 21 under par.
The 34-year old picked up a cheque for $630,000 and a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour.
The win moves Power up to 113th in the world ranking and up to 69th place in the FedEx Cup standings,
It also secures him a spot at the PGA Championship, the Tournament of Champions and Players Championship.
