Shamrock Rovers closed to within four points of SSE Airtricity League Premier Division leaders Shelbourne last night.
The Hoops beat Dublin rivals Bohemians 1-0 at Tallaght Stadium, with Graham Burke on target six minutes from time.
The result leaves Bohs in eighth place and just four points from the promotion/relegation play-off place.
Elsewhere, Drogheda United and Galway United played out a 0-0 draw.
In the First Division, Treaty United beat Cobh Ramblers 3-0 while Athlone Town were 1-0 winners over UCD.
