The event is being held at the Athy Community Family Resource Centre.
People are being invited to attend a pregnancy and baby loss awareness event in Athy tomorrow (15 October).
The event is being held at the Athy Community Family Resource Centre.
Friends, families, or anyone else affected are asked to attend.
Those who would like to have someone recognised are asked to email "jayne@athycfrc.ie" and a blue, pink or white ribbon will be used to remember them.
Speaking on Kildare Today, family support and community development worker Jayne Sherlock said that they want to make sure that every loss matters for this event:
"We really want to make sure that every loss matters, it's a big mantra for this [event], and for anybody who has been affected, they are very welcome to come.
"I've been so honoured to receive so many babies' names already, so that is an option for people who aren't in a position to come and their baby can still be honoured."
Jayme also accepts that some people may not feel happy to attend on the day, which is why she feels the dedication of a ribbon to the child is a fitting way to pay tribute.
