The Belcoo man got the better of two-time champion Gary Anderson by four sets to three last night at London's Alexandra Palace.
Dolan overcame the challenge of former champion Gerwyn Price in the previous round.

An inspection took place this morning at Punchestown to assess whether today's planned card can go ahead.
Heavy rainfall in recent days put the meeting in doubt but the track has been deemed okay to host this afternoon's 7 race card.
They're due to get underway at 12.45pm.
