Rowing Women's Four have claimed bronze.

Team Ireland is celebrating its first medal of the Tokyo Olympics.

The Rowing Women's Four team came third in their final overnight, and will take home bronze.

The Irish team consists of Aifric Keogh, Fiona Murtagh, Emily Hegarty, Eimear Lambe.

Noel Lambe, Eimear's father, says it was stressful watching his daughter in action

 

The lightweight men's double pair of Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy eased into tomorrow's final.

The World and European champions set a world best time in winning their semi-final to lay down a marker for the medal race.
